Landon had his 4 month check up yesterday. Here are his stats:
Height: 24 inches - 16%
Weight: 13 lb 1oz - 14%
Head Circumference: 41cm - 20%
We found out that Landon has an ear infection, AGAIN! That is two ear infections already. No fun!
He is on a 10 day antibiotic. So hopefully we don't have to go through this again anytime soon.
Other than the ear infection, Landon is doing great. We fed him baby cereal for the first time last week. He has only had it twice, but has done really good. The doctor asked us to wait until he is 5 months old, so that is what we are going to do. He is up to 6oz of formula, and still at every 3 hours! What a hungry boy! He sleeps through the night. Lately he has been waking up between 4:30 and 630am for another feeding and then goes right back to sleep. I on the other hand wake up 3-4 times during the night and STILL check to make sure he is breathing or hasn't flipped over. I'm such a worry wart!
Landon sits in his vibrating chair and grabs the hanging toys with both hands. The doctor said that it is a 5 month thing to start grabing items with their hands. So he is a month advanced! :)
He tries to roll over from back to stomach. Hasn't been able to achieve that yet. He is changing every day. No dark hair anymore. Apparently he is going to be blonde hair, blue eye'd. He is still cute though!
We got Landon a cow costume for Halloween. We are going to take him down town Wamego for Trick or Treating for Halloween. I took Landon and my day care child to the Pumpkin Patch. We had so much fun!
This Fall is so busy with family functions and Holiday celebrations!
While my parents were up we took Landon to the Wamego City Park to ride on the Train.
All of Landon's 'first's' are so much fun for us to be apart of. Grandma & Grandpa Winter haven't seen Landon for 3 weeks, and will be seeing him this weekend. :) Grandma Winter is spoiling Landon. Any garage sales or consignment sales, she goes to and buys gifts for him.
My good friend Jerrica had her baby girl Lynnlee on Monday. We went and visited them in the hospital on Tuesday. Can't wait to raise our children together! Too bad they aren't birthday twinkies like their Momma's!
Have a great weekend everyone!

14 Weeks Old
I can not believe that Landon is 14 weeks today! Time really flies by. Landon is officially sleeping through the night! Yay! He has been sleeping through the night for about the last 3 weeks. So now i can say it out loud with out cringing that i jinxed ourselves. This week though, has been pretty rough. He has had a runny nose for 3 weeks and a cough that keeps getting worse for a week and a half. He smells like a vapor rub factory. Yes, we are using the BABY Vapor Rub, so there is not need to freak out!
Aunt Kristen gave Landon a super cute monkey pillow that he loves to hangout and sleep on:
Landon hasn't missed a K-State game tailgate yet. It is so much fun taking him to the tailgates!
Landon went with me to Jerrica Johnson's baby shower this past weekend. There were 4 pregnant women at the shower. Landon was held a LOT that day!
This Fall is going to be a busy season for us. Lots of friends and family are having baby's and we get to celebrate all of Landon's FIRST holidays! :)
You know what Landon probably loves the most? When his day care friends pull his hair and use his feet as a teether! :)

Lots of changes!
I am not very good at this blog thing, i forgot that it's been awhile since the last post. So this one might be a long one. Here goes: Landon is changing every day. At his 10 week appointment he weighed 10lbs 8oz and was 22 inches long. He is in the 15th percentile for height & weight, and is in the 35th percentile for his head circumference.
On August 28th, Landon was baptised into St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wamego, KS. His god parents are Matt & Lindsay Bulk. My family and Shauns family were there to celebrate with us. We had a BBQ at the Wamego City Park after the baptism to celebrate. It was wonderful to have so much family and friends that are supporting Landon on his journey with God.
Labor day weekend Landon went to his very FIRST K-State tailgate. He looked adorable in this K-State onsie, even though it was huge on him since it is a size 12 months (thank you to the Petersons for the onsie)
My family and I took Landon to the Manhattan Zoo on that Sunday. We all had a lot of fun even though the zoo wasn't very impressive. We love taking Landon on new adventures.
This past weekend we went to Newton to see my family and honor my grandfather getting inducted into the Newton High School Hall of Fame. On Saturday we took Landon to the State Fair. He did so good. He let his grandpa hold him for about an hour while he slept.
Landon is such a good baby. He is only fussy when he is very tired, hungry or needs a diaper change. He loves to sit up when someone is holding him and look around. He likes to face towards the tv and stare when it is on. He really enjoys standing up and putting all his weight on his feet. He talks to us all the time and is constantly smiling (not just when he passes gas).
Landon is such a big boy. Even though he is in the 15th percentile for his weight, he is eating 5oz of formula every 3 hours. We were waking up every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the night. BUT, we realized that he hates sleeping on his back and LOVES sleeping on his stomach. So, about a week ago we layed him down on his stomach and he slept for 7 hours straight through the night. Now we lay him down on his stomach every night and he sleeps a minimum of 5 straight hours before the next feeding. It is scary having him on his stomach, but he can lift his head up completely and rotates it to the left and right all the time with no problem.
We got a scare the other night. Shaun put Landon down for bed on his stomach and when Shaun went in to check up on him later, Landon had flipped over on his back. Now he does it almost 2 times every night and every time he does it, he wakes himself up. Also, we put Landon in the middle of the crib each night and he ends up pushing himself to the corner of the crib and getting his hands and feet stuck . So we just bought a breathable bumper. Now we don't have to worry about him getting stuck and waking himself up. He is way too strong for his age :)
I am currently staying at home with Landon and watching a 9 month old girl and 19 month old boy part time. We take walks and go to the park on a daily basis. Landon does so good in the baby carrier, he just looks all around and falls asleep snuggling to my chest. We just bought a play house and swing set for my day care kids and i know Landon will enjoy it for years to come. I am so glad that i am able to stay at home with Landon and watch him grow and change every day. It is the most wonderful feeling to be a mother. Shaun & I are so in love with our son. He has definately changed our lives for the better. Everything is new and exciting!
I've already started talked about when we will start trying for our 2nd child. We are hoping to be in a new house by this Winter.. So please cross your fingers and pray for us. We have out grown our house and really need more space. If we are able to move into a new house, then this next summer of early Fall, we will start trying for another baby. So exciting to think that Landon will some day be a big brother.

FIRST Family Vacation
Shaun, Landon & I went on our very FIRST family vacation with my parents and sister. We headed to Table Rock on Sunday, August 7th. We stayed at a Resort on the lake. We finally were able to hang out side, i swear we spent the past 6 weeks in our home because of the heat. It was nice to get out in the fresh air. We took full advantage of it. Landon made his first splash in the pool. He didn't even cry. He is definately a water baby!
We spent a lot of time fishing and hanging out at the Resort. It was great to have Landon spend 5 days with my family. We usually only get to see them once a month. My father and Landon spent lots of time 'talking' on the porch every morning.
Aunt Brittany made sure to get some snuggling in.
Grandma Winter LOVED her time with Landon!
My mom stayed with Landon Thursday at the Resort and let us spend the day at Silver Dollar City. Had a lot of fun on the rides :)
We are truely blessed to have such a wonderful baby in our lives. He is the light of our world!
We went over to visit the Doll family when we got back from vacation.
Landon with his 'bestfriend' Cameron. They are 5 weeks apart.

5 week stats
Today was Landon's 5 week checkup. He is up to 8lbs & 6oz and measures at 20.75 inches long. This puts him in the 11-12 percentile. He is a small but very healthy baby!
He can pull his head up all by himself and hold it up for a little bit. :)
He is developing like he should be for his age. He is outgrowing the Walmart Newborn diapers, but still fits in the Target & Dillon's Newborn diapers. His 5-8lb onesies are starting to get tight on him and he will soon not be able to wear them anymore. It is very exciting to see him grow and change every day. We are very lucky to have a healthy and growing boy.
We have started tummy time, but he usually just falls asleep after a couple of minutes.
There is a thing attached to his crib that lights up and plays music, he has started to lay in his crib and listen to the music. He has great hearing. Any time we shut a door or cabinet or when our dog barks, he always moves his head around and opens his eyes real big.
We have been working on getting his eyes to track objects, and he is starting to be able to do that. I will put my fingers or something in front of him and he will sometimes follow it. :)
Landon is up to eating 4oz every 3-4 hours now. The doctor said that is good. But, to definately not let him eat more than 4oz at a time for his age. He was eating 3oz but he started getting fussy for a couple of days, after every feeding. So we tried 4oz once, and he stopped being fussy after eating. He is definately a GROWING boy!
Grandpa & Grandma Rowe come home tomorrow from their vacation in Florida. Landon has sure missed his grandparents. We will be going on our very FIRST family vacation from August 7th through the 12th. Shaun, Landon & I will be going to Table Rock with my parents and sister. We will be staying at a resort on the lake and spend some time in Branson. I can't wait to put Landon into the swimming pool with us. The doctor said that we could do that as long as he isn't in the sun too terribly long with out being covered up. So, i better go buy a big sun hat for him :)
Tuesday we spent time with our friend Emily and Dax. Dax is a couple of months older than Landon. I can't wait until they are old enough for 'play dates'.
Tomorrow, Landon & I will be spending time with our good friend Jerrica. It is definately nice to get out of the house for awhile. I wish it would cool down so we can go on walks. Landon already has a heat rash all over his face, so i don't want to make it worse by taking him out in this heat.
Shaun & I will be having Landon baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church here in Wamego on Sunday August 28th. His God-Parents will be Matt & Lindsay Bulk. We know that they are going to be wonderful god-parents to Landon, they already love him. I found a super cute pair of blue overalls at Children's Place and a white onsie to go under it for his baptism. After the baptism we are going to celebrate by having a BBQ at the Wamego City Park. I can't wait for Landon to be a part of the Catholic Church and to celebrate with friends and family.
Congratulations to Arica & Nate Doll, they gave birth to a beautiful baby boy name Cameron on Wednesday, July 27th at 11:27am. Hopefully Landon will get to meet his future BEST FRIEND tomorrow evening.
Welcome to the world Cameron Doll!

The FIRST month!
Time has gone by so fast. Having a newborn keeps us pretty busy. So here is a recap on everything:
Shaun & I gave birth to Landon Edward on June 23rd at 12:38PM. He weighed 6lbs, 0oz and 19 1/2 inches long.
We had gone in that morning at 8:00am to be induced. I had a very short labor, i only pushed for 20-30 minutes. While in delivery we had some ups and downs, but everything turned out fine. We stayed at the hospital for 2 days and was released to go home on that Saturday. The first week of being home was stressful and a big change for us, but Landon is such a good baby. My mom stayed with us for the first week and she was a WONDERFUL help! My sister was able to stay a couple days and spend time with Landon before she had to go back to Missouri.
We took Landon out for his first 4th of July: Went over to Uncle Dale & Aunt Nancy's house for a family BBQ. Then we hung out at Kami & Laith Beets backyard with some of our Wamego friends. We took Landon to the Carnival and then finished off the night at the fireworks show with Shaun's family. Landon slept through the fireworks show, never even twitched.
Shaun was able to spend almost 2 weeks at home with us, he went back to work on Wednesday, July 6th. It was hard on him at first but, it is getting easier. Shaun loves coming home on his lunch breaks to spend time with us.
Landon had his first road trip to Newton with me. I was kinda worried about how he would be in the car, but he just slept the whole way down there and the whole way back to Wamego. Once i put him in his car seat, he falls right to sleep. We spent 4 days in Newton visiting my parents, brother, grandparents and friends. Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Winter were able to spend a lot of time with Landon. :) While we were in Newton, we got his 2 week pictures taken.
The last couple of weeks we have pretty much stayed in the house, since it has been terribly hot and humid. We have gone shopping a few times and out to see friends and family, but he already got a heat rash just from going to the car and back to the house. Yikes! So we have tried to make sure not to have him outside, unless we are going somewhere.
This is my 6th week home, and Landon will be 5 weeks old on Thursday. Shaun & I decided that it would be in our best interest as a family for me to put my notice in at my job. I am looking for jobs in Wamego to keep me closer to Landon. We have day care set up for awhile, with one of our friends, once i get another job.
I have really loved and enjoyed every minute i have been able to spend with my son. It is an amazing feeling to be a mother. I love when he looks up at me with his cute little eyes and smiles. I can't remember what it was like before we had Landon. Life is now complete. He is finally starting to sleep in his crib at night. We still get up every 3 hours. But, usually he goes right back to sleep.
I will try to make sure to at least post once a week.

38 Weeks Pregnant
I decided to start this blog to keep updates of pictures and for Shaun and I to share with Landon once he is older. What a great way to remember these special moments. The first pictures are from the sonogram, when we found out that we were having a little boy :)
The other pictures are from the baby showers: Wamego and Newton. Lots of celebrating!
Today i had my 38 week appointment. We found out that i will be induced on Thursday, June 23rd. That is the day after my parents wedding anniversary :) Dr. Priddle thinks that i'm not going to make it to the induction date, but i'm trying to not get my hopes up.
Our nursery is all set up and ready for baby Landon to arrive. Shaun and I are very excited for him to come. This is the first grand child for my parents, so it is a new and exciting time for all of us!
My last day of work is tomorrow and then i will be on Maternity leave until August 1st. So, baby Landon please hurry up and get here! :) Mommy loves you very much!
I was 21 weeks pregnant in this photo below:
I was 32 weeks pregnant at the Wamego baby shower held by Tami Bowlin in the the photos below:
My sister & mother hosted the baby shower in Newton:
My friend Jerrica, myself and my cousin Krystyna are all pregnant at the same time :) What a wonderful year for babies :)
We are very grateful to have such amazing friends and family to share this special time in our life with! Thank you to everyone for all your love and support!
