Lots of changes!

I am not very good at this blog thing, i forgot that it's been awhile since the last post. So this one might be a long one. Here goes: Landon is changing every day. At his 10 week appointment he weighed 10lbs 8oz and was 22 inches long. He is in the 15th percentile for height & weight, and is in the 35th percentile for his head circumference.

On August 28th, Landon was baptised into St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wamego, KS. His god parents are Matt & Lindsay Bulk. My family and Shauns family were there to celebrate with us. We had a BBQ at the Wamego City Park after the baptism to celebrate. It was wonderful to have so much family and friends that are supporting Landon on his journey with God.

Labor day weekend Landon went to his very FIRST K-State tailgate. He looked adorable in this K-State onsie, even though it was huge on him since it is a size 12 months (thank you to the Petersons for the onsie)
My family and I took Landon to the Manhattan Zoo on that Sunday. We all had a lot of fun even though the zoo wasn't very impressive. We love taking Landon on new adventures.

This past weekend we went to Newton to see my family and honor my grandfather getting inducted into the Newton High School Hall of Fame. On Saturday we took Landon to the State Fair. He did so good. He let his grandpa hold him for about an hour while he slept.

Landon is such a good baby. He is only fussy when he is very tired, hungry or needs a diaper change. He loves to sit up when someone is holding him and look around. He likes to face towards the tv and stare when it is on. He really enjoys standing up and putting all his weight on his feet. He talks to us all the time and is constantly smiling (not just when he passes gas).

Landon is such a big boy. Even though he is in the 15th percentile for his weight, he is eating 5oz of formula every 3 hours. We were waking up every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the night. BUT, we realized that he hates sleeping on his back and LOVES sleeping on his stomach. So, about a week ago we layed him down on his stomach and he slept for 7 hours straight through the night. Now we lay him down on his stomach every night and he sleeps a minimum of 5 straight hours before the next feeding. It is scary having him on his stomach, but he can lift his head up completely and rotates it to the left and right all the time with no problem.

We got a scare the other night. Shaun put Landon down for bed on his stomach and when Shaun went in to check up on him later, Landon had flipped over on his back. Now he does it almost 2 times every night and every time he does it, he wakes himself up. Also, we put Landon in the middle of the crib each night and he ends up pushing himself to the corner of the crib and getting his hands and feet stuck . So we just bought a breathable bumper. Now we don't have to worry about him getting stuck and waking himself up. He is way too strong for his age :)

I am currently staying at home with Landon and watching a 9 month old girl and 19 month old boy part time. We take walks and go to the park on a daily basis. Landon does so good in the baby carrier, he just looks all around and falls asleep snuggling to my chest. We just bought a play house and swing set for my day care kids and i know Landon will enjoy it for years to come. I am so glad that i am able to stay at home with Landon and watch him grow and change every day. It is the most wonderful feeling to be a mother. Shaun & I are so in love with our son. He has definately changed our lives for the better. Everything is new and exciting!

I've already started talked about when we will start trying for our 2nd child. We are hoping to be in a new house by this Winter.. So please cross your fingers and pray for us. We have out grown our house and really need more space. If we are able to move into a new house, then this next summer of early Fall, we will start trying for another baby. So exciting to think that Landon will some day be a big brother.
