I don't want to wait until Landon is 11 months to post some great news!
Sunday, April 29th was a BIG day for Landon. He said mama and dada. He said dada ONCE a few months ago, but now he can actually say it. He has been saying mama all week. Also, Landon took his very first STEPS. He walked from the couch to Shaun, vice versa and he can walk from Shaun to Me. What a very big boy we have! We are so very proud of Landon. Just thought you all would enjoy the news! :)
Today is Landon's Great Grandfather's Birthday!
Happy Birthday!

10 Months & Growing!
Landon has hit the 10 month mark. Sadly i can't say he is walking yet. Very close to taking his first step the other day though. Now he can balance his weight and stay standing with out holding onto something for at least a good 30 seconds. He is our little talker.. Always babbling on. Bababa is all he is saying so far.
I enrolled Landon & I in therapeutic swimming lessons. It's mostly about bonding in the water with your child. This is a 3 week session. He did very very well. He let me blow bubbles in his face, he laid on his tummy while holding onto my hands, he even relaxed enough to lay on his back and put his head on my shoulder. Wouldn't kick his feet, but i showed him how to. We even went under the water. He is definitely a water baby. Didn't even shed a tear the whole time we were in the pool.
Landon attended his very first Royals Baseball game this last weekend. He loved looking around at all the people and noises. Now that Landon is eating table food, he gets to eat off of our plates when we go out to dinner. That is definitely an experience. He pretty much likes anything you give him. Not a picky eater yet.
Not too much else going on this month. Landon will be busy almost every weekend in May, but that is how it is this time of the year.We get into everything now and want everything in our mouth. He loves to come into the kitchen while i am cooking and take out containers and play with them. He also really really likes to eat Buster's dog food. YUCK! We definitely have some juicy stories about Landon. I will have to write them down and tell them to his girlfriends when he is older.
We hope everyone has a great month of May!

9 Months & Growing
Landon is 9 months old! He had his doctors appointment today and here are his stats: Height- 27 inches = 10%. Weight- 17 lbs and 14oz + 9%. Head Circumference- 45.5cm + 50%. Doctor Duff says that Landon is doing great and doing things that 11 month old's should be doing :) Doctor's orders that he starts on table foods and to skip the 3rd stage baby food. He can eat what we eat. This will be interesting to see what he likes and does not like. Hope he does not become a picky eater.
My baby is not going to be a baby much longer. As of last week, Landon uses his walker and walks all over the house with it. Also, we had our first experience with Landon having a high fever and throwing up 2 weeks ago. Not fun! And i got it at the same time. I don't think Shaun knew what he got his self into when he had to take care of a baby and wife sick with the flu. Definitely an experience.
My mom came up for a couple of days during her spring break and spent time with us. Landon sure loves his Grandma. We went to Newton last weekend to see Landon's Great Grandparents. They can't get enough of him.
Easter is coming up. I can't wait to spoil him with a Easter basket full of goodies. He may not be able to eat candy yet, but mommy and daddy can always eat it for him :) Before we know it, it will be Landon's First birthday. We have already started planning for it. Time really flies by.
Landon went shopping with my mom and I in Topeka. He was such a trooper!

8 Months & Growing!
Landon is officially 8 months old today! I can not believe it! He is getting so big and pretty soon he will no longer be a baby. But, he will always be MY baby. Landon is crawling everywhere. Anything that he can grab onto and use to pull himself up onto his feet, he loves. We started giving him baby puff snacks a couple weeks and he does really good with them. He is eating 3 meals a day plus his bottles. Oatmeal, a veggie and a fruit. The spill proof sippy cups are the way to go. Landon loves to turn his sippy cup over and try to make a mess. When ever he sees me drinking out of a cup, he makes me share my water with him. Sharing germs as always :)
He is absolutely in love with cords right now! The PS3 cord, computer cord, vacuum cord, etc. As soon as we get the vacuum out, he can't stop watching until we are done, i guess its better to have a child that is infatuated with the vacuum, rather than terrified, i definitely need to be able to vacuum whenever i can.
Valentines was so much fun with Landon this year. I LOVE Valentines day, always have and always will. Shaun HATES it, but he was such a good sport with it this year. We bought Landon a stuffed puppy dog that was as big as he is and a Balloon. He LOVES the balloon. He could sit on the floor and yank on it for hours, just laughing and staring at the balloon. One of the cutest things ever.
This past weekend we were very busy. Went to Baldwin for my cousin's birthday party. Had a baby shower on Sunday to attend and then went and visited Landon's Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Winter.

This past month has been super busy. On to the next month. Hope everyone has a great month of March! We are ready to celebrate St. Patty's day! :)

7 Months & Growing!
Landon has hit the 7 month mark and is changing every day. Many more achievements reached and many more to come.
1. Crawler. Landon has been working very hard the past two months on trying to get his legs figured out to crawl. Well, all his hard work has paid off. He is officially a crawler as of last week.
2. Teething (Bottom Front tooth is in, and the other one is coming in.)
Which makes for a fussy and irritable baby. And ever since Landon was born, he has hardly fussed and has been such a wonderful and easy baby, but teething has flipped his world upside down. The past couple of days though, we have started to see our loveable and easy going baby boy come back to us, so hopefully the pain won't set in for a couple more days/weeks with another tooth. Did i mention spoiled! He wakes up throughout the night from the pain of teething, we got tired of getting up 5-6 times throughout the night with him so we gave in to our fatigue and let him sleep with us.
3. As of yesterday, Landon can lift himself up to his feet while hanging onto the couch, baby gate, my leg, etc.
4. Landon got in the swing today at the Park for the first time. He absolutely loved it.He kept laughing and smiling the whole time. He was in there for at least 30 minutes. I'm sure he would of hung out in there all morning, if we would of been able to.
5. Today Landon tried meat for the first time. (It was a jar of beef and mixed vegetable baby food) He absolutely HATED it. He ate 3 spoons of it and made the most disgusting faces while eating it. Then, he refused to eat any more of it. So, i got some green beans, and he loves that. Landon is eating 2-3 tblspoons of fruit/veggie for lunch with a bottle, and then 2-3tblspoons of Cereal/Oatmeal for dinner with a bottle. He is still eating about 32 oz of formula a day.
6. Yesterday we went out to lunch after Church with Shaun's family. Instead of leaving Landon in his car seat hanging out on the flipped over high chair, he sat in the high chair by himself. He did such a great job. Obviously he kept grabbing for my drink and utensils. No, we didn't let him play with the fork & spoon. Not ready for that yet. And he definitely knows how to play the game. You know exactly what game i am talking about. Mommy gives me a toy and i drop it on the ground. Mommy picks up the toy, gives it back to me and then I drop it on the ground again. I already HATE that game. But, it is very cute to watch Landon try to get away with it.
7. This one isn't that big of a deal, but to me every New thing is a big deal. He sat in the stroller with out his car seat for the first time today. What a big boy. He loves being outside and watching everything. He continuously smiled and laughed.
8. Last night I was giving Landon a bath, because he had a disgusting diaper and definitely needed a bath after that one. Anyways, while he was in the tub, he decided that he likes to try to crawl in the water. And while doing that he decided to stick his face under the water. And did this several times. He LOVES the water. He will crawl to the drain and sit next to the faucet while the water comes out and tries to grab the water.
9. Last week he said "da da". Yay!!! He has said "da" a couple of times since then.
Yesterday we took Landon to watch Shaun play Basketball and he just stared and watched the whole game. It is so funny how mesmerized he can get from lights, quick movements, sounds, etc.His eyes get so big. I love watching his reactions to things for the very first time. It's like i get to see everything through new eyes. He has taught me how to enjoy little things such as my shoe laces. haha
These past 7 months have came and gone way too quick. Where is our baby? He is now a big boy! We don't have to hold him any more, he would rather just sit on the floor with a toy and play, or let our dog Buster lick him in the face.
We can't wait to see how much he changes from now until his 1st birthday. He is going to be a completely different child.
Yes, when you squeeze the beak it says "quack"... Landon loves his ducky in the tub
Full of smiles today in the stroller! What a beautiful day in JANUARY!
He loves the swing at the park!

6 Months & Growing!
At Landon's 6 month check up, he was 15 lbs, 11 oz. Still in the 15th percentile. But, he is very healthy on the the right track.
As of today Landon is 6 months, 2 weeks and 1 day old! Time really flies by.
This last week in particular has been full of achievements for Landon.
1. He realized that he can open and close his hand. So he does it all the time and just stares while he is doing it. Like it is the most amazing thing ever. :)
2. He can sit up by himself without falling over. He could do it for hours now.
3. He can hold his bottle by himself. He likes to be a lazy baby and have us hold his bottle, but as of YESTERDAY he likes to hold his own bottle also. YAY!!! What a big boy!
4. He has started veggies. He is trying a new food every 3 days, doctors orders. He has had Sweet Potato's (not sure he likes that one), Squash and Carrots. Landon does so good with his eating from the spoon and he LOVES his oatmeal at night. And we love that the oatmeal helps him sleep through the night.
5. He is the closest to crawling that he could be. He is constantly scooting and rolling around. He is a mover for sure.
6. Landon is absolutely in LOVE with our dog Buster. He will stare at Buster and really enjoys putting his hands through Buster's fur.
We are so proud of Landon and all of his accomplishments.
As for the Holidays: We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning in Newton. Christmas day we spent in Wamego with the Rowe side of the family. Landon and I went back to Newton for New Years Eve. It has been a very busy couple of weeks for us. We are very blessed to have so much loving family and friends to spend the Holiday's with.
Aunt Brittany was able to spend 4 days with us forChristmas

He is a very proud Great Grandfather!
Landon and Jackson are going to have a lot of fun together when they are older. Watch out!
Grandpa Winter hated it when we left Newton to go back home. He can't get enough of Landon.

Cousin love... The girls spent a couple days with us since they had school off for Christmas Break
Grandma and Grandpa Winter bought Landon a K-State Football Jersey with his Last name on the back for Christmas
It was so nice out, g-pa took Landon on a walk for new years eve.
What a happy boy!
We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Holiday Season!

5 Months & Growing!
As of Thursday, Landon is 23 weeks old. He is definitely growing and changing on a day to day basis. He weighs over 15 pounds now. His next appointment at the doctor's isn't until December. Our greatest achievement is that he hasn't had an ear infection this month. If it's not one thing it's another. Either an ear infection, cough, Upper Respiratory Infection, running nose, diaper rash, diarrhea or fever. Oh the joys of mother hood! :)
We are so grateful that I get to stay at home with Landon, go through all the sickness and schedules and feedings.
This past month has been very busy for the Rowe family. Between Halloween, K-State Football and Basketball games, Family gatherings and Thanksgiving, Landon is going to start to think that this is how life is supposed to be. :)
Halloween: Landon was an adorable Cow! We took him downtown in Wamego. To 'trick or treat' with his cousins. We took him around to see family and the Bulks.
Landon & I went to Newton for a couple days before Thanksgiving. We met up with my friend Sarah and her son Jackson.
Grandpa Winter can't get enough of his FIRST grandchild!
We spent Thanksgiving in Wamego at our house. We had breakfast that morning with Shaun's parents. My parents, sister and brother came up to celebrate with us. My sister and I made our FIRST Thanksgiving dinner together. It gave my mom a lot of time to relax and spend it with Landon. My sister drove 5 hours just to see Landon :) What a great Aunt he has.

Landon's First Thanksgiving was a success. Very busy, but very successful.
We have our Christmas Tree up, Gifts under the Tree, Decorations and Lights hung. We are going tonight to get our Family Pictures taken and we are taking Landon to meet Santa at the Mall. Now we are ready to celebrate Landon's FIRST Christmas.
We bought Landon a 'Johnny Jumper' as an early Christmas gift. He absolutely LOVES it!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS from the Rowe's!
